From conveyor systems to networking – KNOLL offers everything from a single source

KNOLL Maschinenbau will showcase itself at the upcoming LogiMAT (from 11 to 13 March 2025 in Stuttgart) as a full-service provider for automated, intelligent intralogistics. Visitors to the trade fair stand will be able to experience live how an AGV (automated guided vehicle) picks up a Euro pallet from a stationary conveyor system, delivers it to another location and performs other transport tasks. The digital information system Click.it developed by KNOLL ensures the networking of the components involved.

From conveyor systems to networking – KNOLL offers everything from a single source

Automate – transport – network: KNOLL Maschinenbau showcases itself at LogiMAT as a full-service provider for intralogistics. An AGV, which transports Euro pallets and a chip cart, ensures movement.
A short roller conveyor as a pick-up station on a long conveyor line – such transport systems have long been part of the expertise of KNOLL automation specialists.
A new addition to the KNOLL programme is the Click.it digital pushbutton system (Click.it One in the picture). It passes on information effortlessly and efficiently in real time. Equipped with the appropriate sensor technology, it can also be used to automatically record and transmit statuses.

Only one fixed transport route from A to B – that was so yesterday! Today, stationary conveyor lines are flexibly complemented with mobile systems, controlled and monitored by modern data technology. At LogiMAT 2025, the Bad Saulgau-based company will be demonstrating that KNOLL Maschinenbau and its Automation Division are masters of all these disciplines.

Transport systems such as chain and roller conveyors have long been part of KNOLL's expertise. But these can also be designed flexibly – with additional components such as access and exit ramps, turning stations, corner transfer units and platforms as well as lifting units and rotating or swivelling workpiece holders. They are perfect for use in logistics and assembly, also for heavy and bulky parts. Since the systems have a modular mechanical, electrical and software structure, KNOLL always implements tailormade solutions.

Mobile means flexible

The combination with mobile units ensures even greater flexibility in the processes. KNOLL relies on the automated guided vehicle systems (AGV) of its partner Safelog, Markt Schwaben. These "intelligent" vehicles with autonomous, agent-based control are ideal for the forklift-free and automatic supply of assembly lines with components and shopping carts.

A manoeuvrable AGV demonstrates its versatility at the KNOLL trade fair stand. At a typical pick-up station, it loads a Euro pallet and takes it to a buffer station. In order to optimally utilise the AGV, it can take on many different tasks and, for example – as shown at the trade fair - transport a chip cart from the machine to a disposal station.

Simply networked

KNOLL developed the digital information system Click.it to set processes in production and intralogistics in motion automatically. It is able to transmit information effortlessly and efficiently and thus set processes in production or intralogistics in motion.

The Click.it hardware and software is available in three versions, which can be individually adapted to simple or complex requirements. The Click.it Pro meets almost every requirement. It features an easy-to-read display with intuitive user interface as well as five programmable pushbuttons.

Click.it One is the compact version of the Click.it Pro and is suitable for specific tasks in areas with limited space. With one click the user generates a driving job for an automated guided vehicle (AGV), for example, thus ensuring efficient movement of materials. KNOLL will be exhibiting the Click.it One - equipped with a sensor - at the trade fair stand. It monitors the aforementioned buffer station and signals whether it is empty and therefore ready for use.

The third Click.it version is Click.it Connect, which enables seamless integration into other communication systems. The built-in control cabinet device is ideal when extended input and output function options are required.

You will find KNOLL Maschinenbau at Booth 5D29 in Hall 5 at LogiMAT 2025.
