Then training to become an electrician for operating systems technology at KNOLL is just right for you! Your tasks will include independent work on assembling, commissioning and maintaining technical systems.
If something needs fixing, you'll be there! In 3.5 years of training, you will become an expert in our operating systems technology. You will spend the first year in vocational training in the field of electrical technology at the Willi-Burth School in Bad Saulgau. And then? Hands-on work in our operations! We can guarantee you comprehensive, methodically coordinated, practice-orientated training that will make you fit for your professional future.
How did you find out about the job of an electrician?
Since I have some electricians in my family, I have always had something to do with this profession from an early age. After an internship at KNOLL, I was convinced that I would enjoy this job and that it would be the right choice for me.
Your mother completed her apprenticeship at KNOLL over 20 years ago. What did she tell you that made you choose KNOLL as well?
My mother told me that she was trained very well at that time and also that she enjoyed the apprenticeship here.
At KNOLL, we will always see you as a person, not just as an employee. We have numerous non-job-related offers for our staff in the fields of health, social issues, further training, quality of life and quality of work. And we're always up to date! Find out here what you can expect from us.
Training Ace
We are a recognised training organisation and have been awarded to the official seal "Training Ace". KNOLL can give you the chance to lay a valuable groundstone for your later professional life – with excellent chances of being taken on afterwards, assuming your final certificate and personal commitment are as expected. It often happens that a member of staff started working with us as a trainee and is now a member of management staff.
Friendly work environment
Modern equipment and a pleasant climate await you at your workplace. Bright rooms, flooded with daylight are standard for us – even in the production halls. After taking lunch in our canteen, you can let off steam by challenging your colleagues to a game of table football.
Flexitime
At KNOLL, we have core working times, but you are free to decide when you start and when you finish your daily work – of course in agreement with your supervisor and/or your team. That makes it easier to flexibly plan personal appointments and to pursue hobbies and sporting activities alongside your training.
Pleasant colleagues and team spirit
With us, you're not just one among a thousand. Every training year we take on around 40 trainees in the different occupations requiring training. And KNOLL supports every single one of them. You have a concern? Your colleagues and supervisors will have an ear for you at any time. You get to know them right at the start. The focus in the first week of training is on team building and getting to know each other.
Further training
KNOLL attaches great value to advanced and further training. Even after completing your training, assuming you are taken on, many training channels will be open to you – to become a technician or business administrator – or another form of further training. Our specially founded "Talent Pool" supports eligible members of staff with an individually designed development concept.
Events
During training, there is a program of events covering the whole year. During the first training week there is an Ice-Breaker Day. In addition, each trainee is able to visit an OWB disabled workshop for three days during training. What will you learn? You will get insight into the life and work of handicapped people – and you can reinforce your own social skills.
Healthy with KNOLL
Health and sport are important for KNOLL. The company's own sports offerings such as spinning and yoga, plus team days with canoeing and climbing events ensure that our employees stay fit and are able to really let loose. Here, we work with fitness studios and other experienced partners in the region.
KNOLL social
We accept our social responsibility. For example, we are involved in youth support and care for the elderly through the Bad Saulgau Civic Trust, and we assist social institutions in the region. We operate an exchange program with a disabled workshop through the KNOLL inclusion project with the OWB and we help to provide an answer to current challenges for our society by integrating refugees.
You have several options to submit your application. Either classically by mail or e-mail, but also online, by video or chat. We will then check your documents and, if suitable, send you access data for an online recruitment test in which your professional and personal skills will be assessed. The next step is a personal interview. Now it's time to keep your fingers crossed!
