The RIP/RIS recirculation station is a compact disposal and delivery unit designed for installation in special-purpose machine tools. It allows unmanned transfer of chips to a central separator/filter by means of coolant (RIP version) or suction air (RIS version). The RIP version also has the capacity to process longer aluminium chips in conjunction with a chip reducer unit. Otherwise, only short chips can be conveyed safely.
RIP version for wet machining operations
The feed screws in the machine base transfer the chips and the coolant into the reservoir. Here, a metering screw feeds the chip/coolant mixture evenly to the recirculation pump, which conveys the mixture through the return line to the filtration system.
RIS version for dry machining operations
The feed screws in the machine base transfer the chips into the reservoir. Here, a metering screw feed the chips evenly into the flow of suction air, which conveys the chips through the suction line to the central extraction unit. The controlled interaction between the feed pump and between the central extraction system and the metering unit ensures reliable transfer of chips with and without coolant.
